Working At Home Opportunities Are Everywhere – Thanks To The Internet
Work home jobs – thank you internet – work at home opportunities – You can change your life anytime you want because Thanks To The Internet Work At Home Opportunities Are Everywhere.
Want to know something? You can change your life anytime you want. Thanks to the Internet and all it offers, you can work for yourself. You can work from home and you can be your own boss and pay yourself whatever you want. Let me tell you more.
It’s a fact that thousands of people are making money online selling just about anything and everything to anyone and everyone. It’s fast becoming both the accepted way to buy and certainly the easiest way to sell. And the markets just keep getting bigger and bigger every day. Lets take eBay as an example.
How To Make Money With On Ebay
Just look at eBay for instance. What a prime example of successful niche market trading. With million of users worldwide, eBay has made it possible for countless people all over the world to earn a full-time, online income from the comfort of their own home.
At any given time there are more than 25 million items for sale on eBay. And this year the online auction phenomenon expects to trade 1.8 billion items, worth more than $20 billion. It’s truly staggering!
On top of that, consider how many individuals with their own small business websites are making a good living. It surely runs into hundreds of thousands. The point I’m trying to make is, anyone with half a mind can do it. And if it’s what you want to do, then why not?
What are the best and most profitable products to sell online?
What do you think they are? CDs? DVDs? Books? Well, all these items certainly do sell very well online, but you would have to keep some stock (very costly) or arrange to open an account with a wholesaler who will drop-ship the products direct to your customers.
But, drop-shipping can be problematic, because you have no control over the process and things can and do go wrong, which could give rise to a lot of disappointed and unhappy customers. Result? You lose credibility and you lose sales. Worst still, you could lose your business!
An online business should be as simple to run as possible. So let’s forget about stock and packaging and packing and shipping. It’s too time-consuming and too tedious. Think! Instant Download!
And what are the best products to sell via this method?
I’m going to tell you categorically, that the best products to sell on the Internet are without doubt…information. In the wider sense of the term, information products include books, reports, courses, tutorials, music, films and software. Whether they educate or inform, they all fall into this same category.
There’s a huge, never-ending market for information products and the very best part is you can deliver them to your customers electronically. It’s like the Internet was invented for sharing information. In fact it was! Only now, you can sell information products for big profits.
Working From Home Works!!
About 10 years ago I started looking on the web for ways to make money from home; I was in a normal 9 to 5 job and didn’t have a lot of time on my hands. I was surprised to see so many different avenues of income possibilities; I also quickly realized a lot of these programs were scams.
I was on the wrong side of 50 who would be new to internet marketing; I freely admit I fell for the get rich quick schemes and lost some money I couldn’t afford to lose. We all hate losing money but when you are looking at retirement in a few years money becomes even more important.
I was very disappointed, but decided to not give up; once I realized I had to work hard and research what was out there, I began to see some small results. I became interested in finding a proven way to make money from home and then offer people the same opportunity. My university degree was in Business Studies/Administration and it’s in my nature to help others better themselves; I have definitely been doing that since I started internet marketing.
With the web flooded with several different ways to make money from home. What I try to do is point people in the right direction and allow them to lean on me for help. It’s great having my own website but that’s just something people see on a screen. I go a step further and allow people to contact me with any questions they may have; sometimes all people need is a little help. (that point in the right direction)
It’s a shame we have to come across a lot of people who like to make a quick buck off of those just trying to find their way in life. Internet marketing is very competitive and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you’re in big trouble.
Working From Home Works!!! You just have to find that right person and program to help you get started. If you find a good program you can start out by putting in about 8 to 10 hours a week; once you start grossing some income you can step it up and make it your full-time job.
But remember, although working from home is great but it’s important to get outside and get away from your computer once in a while. So on to the next part of this article…
Working From Home: How To Make It Enjoyable And Productive
Get Out of The House
Staying in the house Monday to Friday without seeing the light of day is certainly not good for your health or state of mind. You may be so focused on your work that you convince yourself you cannot afford the time to leave the house. But this is a false economy. You have to schedule time to move out and experience a different environment.
As well meeting your fellow home workers for a regular get together, join a health club, go for a swim once or twice a week, go to the cinema, check out your local Business Link to see what seminars they are running – anything to get you out of the house! Don’t get trapped into only working, eating and sleeping in your home.
For many people the ultimate dream is to work from home. To some people who have achieved this dream it has turned into the ultimate nightmare! If you are thinking about working from home, what are the pitfalls and what can you do to avoid them?
With the every day stresses of life, work and commuting, working from home can appear to be the way out, but it is not as easy and idyllic as it sounds. If you are seriously thinking about setting up in business on your own and working from home, what are the pitfalls and what can you do to avoid them?
Understanding Your Motivation
It can be too tempting to stay in bed for ‘a little longer’ when you are working at home. The need to get up and beat the early morning traffic or to be at your desk by 8.30am is missing when you only have a short walk to your new place of work.
If you are to be effective in your new work environment you have to find a motivator which is sufficiently strong enough to get you up and about and at your desk by your appointed time. To find out what your motivator is cast your mind back to why you wanted to work from home in the first place. Was it to spend more time with the family? Was it to give you freedom to pursue other interests?
If you don’t find these strong enough to get you out of bed, find a financial reason. Visualise you and your family being thrown out of your house because you couldn’t up with the mortgage payment! Keep this image in mind and the next time you find yourself staring at the bedroom ceiling raise this image and you’ll quickly find yourself at your desk!
Establish a Routine
We are all creatures of habit and a set routine can help keep us motivated and focused on the job in hand. Set yourself a starting time, a tea break and lunch break etc. A set routine can help you settle into your new role much more quickly than a ‘let’s see what happens today’ approach. Without a working schedule, which includes a finite finishing time to the day, your working day will be unfocused and could stretch late into the night, ending what ever social life you may have.
You’re All Alone
Working from home can be a lonely existence. As human beings we are born to seek out contact with other humans. In an office environment there is daily contact, quick 10 minute chats at the coffee machine finding out what colleagues did the night before, and someone to celebrate a big sale with. All of this is essential to making our lives feel complete and yet this is missing from a home-based business.
To overcome this feeling of isolation, which will be especially pronounced during your early months, you must establish a network of people who are in the same position as you. Agree that you will talk on the phone at least twice a week, and arrange to have lunch or a quick coffee once every 2 weeks. Your family may not be the right people to talk over a business problem with, so you have to find someone who can relate to your successes and problems.
These days you can do most work-related tasks away from your home desk. Once your business is established invest in a laptop, PDA and a good mobile phone. Armed with these devices you can take your office with you and work from your garden, the local park, or even the library. It doesn’t matter where, just as long as you are out of the house and being around the rest of the human race.
Create an Office
If you have been used to working in a formal office environment all your working life, then switching to the kitchen table or the spare room can be an unwelcome distraction. To give you that discipline and focus designate a part of the house as your office. If you have a spare room or study then even better. Buy a desk and office chair, filing cabinets and other office-style stationery. Remove all family and home-related items so this tells your mind that you are at work and not home.
In any office you have too many colleagues and clients visiting you to allow your work area to get cluttered. At home it’s different. Unless you are expecting clients on a regular basis then it’s too easy to allow your paperwork and filing to get out of hand. The saying that a cluttered desk leads to a cluttered mind is true. Your efficiency and productivity will suffer unless you are organised. Buy filing cabinets, box files, waste paper bin, put up shelves, so that everything is in place.
Getting organised and being efficient also includes setting the ground rules with the family. They need to understand that you are at work and not at their beck and call for every little job that needs doing. Be firm and say no unless it is very urgent and requires immediate attention. Allow nothing to get in the way of your business.
Working from home can be a liberating experience, yet at the same time it can be dangerous unless properly handled. Before embarking on your home business, take time to plan and prepare how you are going to deal with the transition. Done correctly, working from home can be a very attractive alternative to the daily grind of the office, and that is just one reason Why you want to get involved with a home-based business.
Working At Home – Identify Your ‘Why’
There are countless reasons for you to start your own work at home business. I would venture to say that the main reason is to generate income. But what will you use the extra income for? The reasons may include getting out of debt, saving for a child’s college education, buying a home or car, early retirement, overcome insufficient income, or just to improve your overall lifestyle. Whatever the reason, it is important to your success to identify it and stay focused on it. There are several reasons for this.
First off, identifying your Why will get you started. I don’t know how many people investigate starting a work at home business but never get started. A strong Why will enable you to take that all important first step. If your Why is strong enough, you can attain it and you will do what it takes to achieve it.
Secondly, when you identify your Why, you have a goal to work towards and a target to aim at. Staying focused on your Why enables you to keep going as you are reminded Why you are doing all the hard work involved in working at home.
Thirdly, identifying your Why will help you get through those days when things look bleak. I can tell you from experience that there are times when you will want to quit. There are many ups and downs when working at home. You will begin to doubt that that this just won’t work. When you stay focused on your Why, you are constantly reminded to not give up. In the end it will be worth it.
Fourthly, focusing on your Why will enable you to battle the doubters. You know them. They are the people, often close to you, that tell you how foolish your undertaking is. They let you know up front that you are wasting your time. But your Why, if you stay focused on it, will help you overcome these dissenters.
Fifthly, identifying your Why will help you in making decisions about your business. There have been times when I had a decision to make about my work at home opportunity. Should I spend money on this, should I take the time to do that? My Why was always there, enabling me to make a decision that I would not have made had I not had a goal or vision that I was working towards.
Sixthly, your Why will cause you to work harder and longer. There may be days when you just don’t feel like working. You would rather sit in front of the TV or go somewhere or just take a nap. Once that “Why” is engrained in your soul, you won’t be able to ignore it. You will spend the necessary time to work at becoming a success with your business. That doesn’t mean that you ignore your family. It does mean that you will use more of your free time to work towards your goal.
Finally, identifying your Why will cause you to be a success. If your goal is strong enough, you will succeed. A strong Why will cause you to do pretty much whatever it takes to achieve it. There is nothing that will cause you to push forward like a strong Why. The question is, “Have you identified yours?”
Working From Home Moms – Examining Your ‘Why’
Today I was talking to a female friend who was telling me she was at home with a sick pup and up to her eyeballs in puppy puke.
She said – As Work at Home Moms, we talk about our “Why” as a positive thing. Our “Why” is our purpose, our reason, our muse. We refer to our ‘Why’ when we need inspiration or motivation to reach outside our comfort zone, to try a little harder, to keep going even when it’s hard. Our ‘Why’ helps us to succeed!
She said she is new to this puppy thing. She was warned up and down about how much work a puppy is, and she thought “I have two children. How hard can a puppy possibly be?” Well, one difference is that newborn babies aren’t born with fangs — at least hers wasn’t. So, in between changing the gauze patches on her shredded arms (those teeth are sharp!), and hours of puppy school, she fell in love with this furry beast. He was added to her list of “Why’s”.
So, today, while she was composing her work at home mom newsletter, in the background she could hear her furr-ball start to vomit — again. The thought that ran through her mind initially was not a happy “Why”. It was more like:
* “WHY in the world am I home to deal with this while my husband gets to sit in a quiet office all day?”
* “WHY isn’t HE dealing with cleaning up the 8th pile of yucky stuff?”
* “WHY don’t I get any peace and quiet while I work?”
After she cleaned up the puppy, rubbed his head and got him clean blankets, threw in another load of laundry, and climbed into bed with her sick 7 year old and 3 year old to read stories, she had time to collect her thoughts. A little bit (ok, a LOT) of puppy puke was sure worth it.
And, later, when she made her phone call to her husband to tell him about her day, it wasn’t the puppy-puke she was telling him about….
She told him how their daughter said that she wanted to plant some jelly beans to grow a jelly bean tree. And, how the kids were playing the game of Life and I overheard their rules. They decided that the person who got the most parents into the car won. That’s Why I stay at home.
And, if a furry little tail starts wagging when I walk into the room? Well, that’s sure an added bonus.
So, the next time your warm and loving “Why” turns into a plea for help, take a deep breath and think of all the memories you would be missing – both good and not-so-good, if you weren’t a work at home mom.
Working From Home – Is It Worth It?
Home-based businesses are cropping up everywhere you look. People have decided that being their own boss is the way to go. There are thousands of advertisements, junk mail, and email saying you should start your own home business today!
But should you really start your own home business? Should you be your own boss? What are the risks to operating your own home business? What are the rewards? How many people are successful at operating their own home business? How do I get started? Should I be answering all those ads that say I am missing the opportunity of a lifetime?
These are some of the questions you may be asking yourself every time you see an ad about starting a business from home. In this article, I will try to help you answer them
Let’s start with that first question, “Should I start my own home business?” The answer to that question is different for everyone. If you hate working nine to five and hate working to make other people rich, then owning your own business might be your answer.
If you have some business skill, it helps, however, you do not need to know more than the basics about running your own business. You have to keep several things in mind. Depending on the type of home business you will be operating, do you have the room for it at your house?
Do you have a separate space where you can do your work without the normal everyday distractions of being at home? The children, your spouse, the TV, the yard that needs mowing and other things are all distractions that can cut into your workday. Also, understand you will still have to work every day. That doesn’t change just because you now have a home business.
The bottom line is you need to plan before you make the move to owning your own home business. Make sure it is what you really want and that you are ready to do what it takes to be a success.
The second question is much like the first, “Do I really want to be my own boss?” If you are self-motivated, if you are the type of person who learns fast. if you are a confident type of person, then the answer is yes. If you lack those qualities, then your answer may be no.
Again, that question is something only you can decide and it also depends on the type of business you choose to run. If it is a service oriented business you might have an easier time than with a sales-based home business if you are not the outgoing confident type of person.
Self-motivation is the one quality you can’t do without if you plan to start your own business, whether it will be a home-based business or something else. You will be the one that has to get you out of bed every day and you will be the one that has to tell you to get to work.
What are the risks to operating your own home business?
They are several. You should not start your own home business right AFTER quitting your day job. Until your home business starts making money, you are likely going to have to keep your current job while building your home business.
Again, though, the risks are greater for some people than for others. What are your finances? How much is your monthly overhead? Is your income already stretched to the limits? A single person has a head start. A spouse who is not already working also has an advantage over the main breadwinner in starting a home business.
If you are currently working part-time and it costs you almost as much to go to work as you are making, then you may as well take a shot at owning your own business. It isn’t likely to be worse than continuing to pursue a dead-end job.
The rewards of owning your own home business
What are the rewards? The rewards of owning your own home business are many. If you have a family, even though you still have to work, knowing you are home and close by is a comfort to them. Not having to commute back and forth to work is another plus. The gas and vehicle maintenance you save should be considered your first profits in your new home business.
The freedom of being your own boss is another reward. Knowing that it is you who will be making the decisions, who will be responsible for it’s success, and that it is you who decides everything is reward in itself. Too many times when working for others, we see a better way to do things, but no one listens and you don’t have the power to make it happen. In your own home business, you will be making those decisions.
The money is the other reward. Why I say, “other”, is that it isn’t as important as the others. Of course you want your business to be successful and it has to make money to be a success, however, if money is your only motivation, I would still say you have less chance of succeeding then many others who are not solely money-motivated.
Work From Home Because You Want To!
Choose something you truly like or love to do for your home business. Do it because it is what you want to do. Don’t choose the type of home business with the amount of income it will generate as the only or most important factor to consider.
If you choose something you love to do, it will be easier to motivate yourself and you will obviously enjoy it so much more. When you combine that with the other rewards, such as being close to your family, then the money becomes secondary. At the very same time, you will also find that is the path to making more money. Because you chose something you like to do, you worked harder at it, and now you are making more money. That is how it works.
The last question is, “How many people succeed in their own home business?” My answer is, “Exactly the same number of people who chose to do something they enjoy.”
I hope this article has helped answer some questions you may have had about starting your own home business. I enjoy what I do and really hope that if nothing else, you remember to choose something you enjoy.
